How to Stake Gram in Telegram: Step by Step

You can stake Gram from inside Telegram. This guide covers the KTON Telegram Mini App, the wallets that work with it, unstaking, costs, timing, and what to check before you confirm.

The short answer

To stake Gram from inside Telegram, open the KTON Telegram Mini App (@ktonio_bot), connect a wallet that supports TON Connect (Wallet in Telegram, Tonkeeper, MyTonWallet, OKX Wallet, and others), enter an amount of at least 1 Gram, and confirm the transaction in your wallet. You receive KTON, a liquid staking token that represents your staked Gram and accrues rewards. To get Gram back, you unstake in the same app, and your Gram is returned after the current validation round finalizes, which can take up to about 36 hours.

Asset note: The asset you stake is Gram (ticker GRAM, formerly Toncoin). The blockchain network is still called TON. So you stake Gram, on the TON network, and this kind of product is called TON liquid staking.

What you need before you start

How to stake Gram with the KTON Telegram Mini App

The Mini App is the KTON app opened inside Telegram, and staking takes a few minutes:

  1. Open the Mini App. In Telegram, open t.me/ktonio_bot and launch the KTON app. Check that the handle is exactly @ktonio_bot.
  2. Connect your wallet. Choose “Connect wallet”, pick your wallet from the list, and approve the connection in the wallet.
  3. Enter the amount. Choose “Stake” and enter how much Gram you want to stake. A minimum of 1 Gram is required. The app shows the estimated KTON you will receive at the current rate. Each KTON is worth more than 1 Gram, so you receive fewer KTON than the Gram you stake.
  4. Confirm in your wallet. Review the details, then approve the transaction in your wallet. Read what the wallet shows you before you approve.
  5. Receive KTON. You instantly receive KTON in your connected wallet as a standard TON token (a jetton). It starts earning from the moment you hold it.

KTON’s rewards auto-compound, so there is no manual claiming or restaking. For the mechanics, see how staking works in the docs.

Staking with a Telegram or TON Connect wallet

The Mini App is not a wallet. It prepares the transaction, and your own wallet signs it. KTON does not use a custom wallet integration: if your wallet supports TON Connect, it works. Which wallet you pick only changes where you approve:

In every case the KTON you receive sits in your own wallet, not in the Mini App. You can also connect the same wallet at app.kton.io in a browser and see the same position.

How to unstake from Telegram

Unstaking is the reverse of staking: you return KTON and receive Gram. It is not instant.

  1. Open the Mini App and connect the wallet that holds your KTON.
  2. Choose “Unstake” and enter how much KTON you want to redeem.
  3. Review the estimated Gram. This is an estimate at the current rate. The exact amount is fixed when the round finalizes.
  4. Approve the transaction in your wallet. This burns your KTON and issues an NFT receipt to your wallet.
  5. Wait for the round to finalize. Your Gram is returned after the current validation round finalizes, which can take up to about 36 hours. It can be faster if you unstake near the end of a round.
  6. Receive Gram. The Gram arrives in your wallet automatically, and the receipt NFT is burnt in the same step. There is no second “claim” transaction.
Do not transfer or sell the receipt NFT. The payout goes to whoever holds the receipt when the round settles. If you send it to another address, a contract, or a marketplace, your Gram goes there too. Leave it in your wallet until the Gram arrives. More detail is in the docs on unstaking and payout NFT receipts.

While you wait, the app lists the request under “Withdrawals in progress” on its Home screen.

What it costs

How long it takes

ActionWhen it completes
Stake GramKTON is minted to your wallet immediately, and it earns from the moment you hold it.
Unstake KTONGram is returned after the current validation round finalizes, which can take up to about 36 hours.

The wait exists because KTON keeps essentially all staked Gram working with validators rather than reserving an idle buffer for instant withdrawals.

If you genuinely cannot wait, a KTON/Gram pair exists on STON.fi, a TON DEX, as an emergency option, but its on-chain liquidity is thin, so it suits only small amounts and is not the recommended way to exit.

Frequently asked questions

Can I stake Gram from inside Telegram?

Yes. The KTON Telegram Mini App at t.me/ktonio_bot lets you stake and unstake from Telegram. You connect a TON Connect wallet, enter the amount of Gram to stake, and confirm the transaction in your wallet. KTON arrives in the connected wallet and starts earning right away.

Which wallets work with the KTON Telegram Mini App?

Any wallet that supports TON Connect can connect and stake, including Wallet in Telegram, Tonkeeper, MyTonWallet, and OKX Wallet. KTON does not use a custom wallet integration, so if your wallet supports TON Connect, it works.

How much Gram do I need to stake from Telegram?

The minimum stake is 1 Gram. Your wallet also attaches about 1.15 Gram of network gas to the transaction, and the unused portion is refunded, so you want about 2.15 Gram in your wallet to stake the 1 Gram minimum.

How long does unstaking from Telegram take?

Unstaking is not instant. You return KTON, the protocol issues an NFT receipt, and your Gram is returned after the current validation round finalizes, which can take up to about 36 hours. The Gram arrives in your wallet automatically and the receipt is burnt in the same step. Do not transfer or sell the NFT receipt while you wait.

What does it cost to stake Gram with KTON in Telegram?

KTON does not charge a separate deposit or withdrawal fee beyond the usual TON network gas, but the protocol takes a 16% governance fee on staking rewards (a commission on the yield, not on your principal); the APY shown is already net of it. The APY is variable and is shown live in the app.

How do I check that the KTON bot is the real one?

Check that the Telegram handle is exactly @ktonio_bot and that the web app address is app.kton.io, ideally by opening both from the links on kton.io. Never type your seed phrase or private key into a bot, a chat, or a web page: staking with KTON only needs you to connect a wallet and approve a transaction in it.
